15 SELF CARE IDEAS FOR WHEN YOU'RE IN A SLUMP

Everyone has those days where it just feels impossible to get out of that depressive state and do things that make you feel good. Especially if you're like me and have mental health issues, it's important to have a toolbox of things to do when you get into a slump so you can start the process of feeling happy.

Here's some of my own self care ideas that have helped me on rough days! Of course, it's important to find what works for you and if something doesn't work, try something else!

MIND

Try learning a new language with Duolingo (100% free!)
Reorganize your room
Watch a TED talk on a topic you've been wanting to learn about.
▽ Try Suduko
▽ Turn your phone off for a couple hours

BODY

Do a face mask (This carbonated one  is my favorite!)
Take a walk around a park
Get a massage
Soak in a bubble bath
Try yoga! (You can find great guided routines on Youtube)

SOUL

▽ Write out a gratitude list
▽ Unfollow negative people on social media
▽ Say affirmatons to yourself in the mirror
▽ Try meditation (YouTube has an abundant amount of guided meditations)
▽ Wake up early to see the sun rise

♡  I'd love to hear some of your self care tips! Comment your favorite ones below.

  1. Oh I love that you included the soul in this list. Thinking of things that make me happy, people who need prayers, and things I can do the help. I also love massages and walks. When I'm anxious, organizing something helps me focus. Such a great list- thanks for sharing.
