Who else has instantly got in the mood to get ~*spooky*~? October is my absolute favorite month! Maybe that has something to do with it being my birthday month, or the beautiful complete transformation of the season that gives me a sense of completeness. I always welcome in October with open arms, but this year I’m especially excited. This year marks 21 times around the sun. With such a milestone birthday, I want to make this month my b*tch.

September was a month full of realizations. It seemed like the Universe was always throwing tests at me. Some I passed, some I failed – but so many lessons were learned. Faced with so much adversity, I was forced to grow through discomfort. September was hard. That’s just how simply I can put it. I am still here, and am ready to reap the rewards October has for me.

Every year I say that I want to visit a pumpkin patch, or go to one of those spooky year. Every year I end up passing out on the couch while watching Halloween town. I think maybe it’s time to break the cycle. Nobody is going to make our memories for us! Last month, my depression turned me into a hermit. Where does that really get you? The best way to crawl out of a rut is to force yourself to change your behavior. October will be spent creating memories I will cherish filled with people that I love. No canceling plans, we’re chasing beautiful adventures. I’m definitely jumping head first into everything autumn or Halloween created – so catch me on the next hay ride.

Setting a few goals at the beginning of the month is definitely a habit you want to pick up! Clear specific goals under a specific time frame (a month) allows you to really zone in on what you need to get done. I definitely find this helpful for when I make weekly goal list, as I make them each something to help me reach the overall monthly goals. The goals you pick don’t have to fit one specific category, it can be anything from work/career to health and body image. As long as you pick goals that are attainable and worthwhile, you are in the right step.

Need an idea on what I’m talking about? Here are my October goals

  • Wake up at 6 am every weekday morning.
  • Write in my journal everyday
  • Post on Instagram 3-4 times a week.
  • Post new blog posts 3-4 times a week.
  • Read a book for at least an hour a day.

As you can see, my October goals are all about disciplining myself and putting myself on a routine. I can’t wait to achieve these goals for myself and see all the benefits manifest. I’ll do a check-up at the end of the month to see how easy or hard it was to do so!

What are you most excited for this October? What goals do you have for the month? Let me know in the comments below. I can’t wait for us to have our best month yet!

I’m excited for October too, cuz it’s also my birth month! What date is yours?

As for my goals of the month, my major one is this 30 day positivity challenge I’m doing. Hopefully I go all the way and not drop off. A major thing I’m looking forward to is traveling and going to NY for the first.

Just the other day I was saying to myself that I want to read more books. I was such an avid reader when I was younger and, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve been more into watching TV and movies. I want to make more time for reading.

Good luck on your goals! x

This has to be one of my favourite blog posts because of how positive you are. Your goals are really positive and cool and I may have to make or two of them my own goals 😉 I’ve never been pumpkin picking either but I plan to this year and hopefully, I’ll carve it too so I can do two new things in one. And I’m going to wish you a happy birthday now and hope you have a fab 21st. It maybe early but I hope you have a fab time anyway. It feels like only yesterday I was 21 and in December I’m 22. It’s going by super quickly 🙈

Really love posts like this! It’s so helpful to write down your goals as it’s there as a reminder and a push to keep trying to achieve them! I hope that this October is everything that you hoped for! x
