Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I love gathering around delicious home-cooked meals while laughing with the people I love the most. While gratitude should be practiced all year long (check out my post all about it and grab your free #31DaysOfGratitude workbook), an entire day centered around being grateful is a beautiful thing too.
2018 has gave me so much to be thankful for. In our day to day lives, it’s easy for us to not see these hidden blessings. I’d be lying if I said this year was easy, and it’s not even over yet. I’ve lost friends, lost jobs, lost focus. There were times where I felt as if I hit my lowest. I hurt people I loved, got hurt by those I loved the most. And yet, I rose above it.
Those small inconveniences don’t even compare to all I am thankful for!
There has been beauty in every moment. I am thankful for the amount of growth I’ve experienced. This was the year where I started becoming the woman I always wanted to be. Moving out, relaunching my blog, falling in love? If you told me that would be in the plans for this year a few months ago I would have laughed in your face!
The person I am today is not the person I am 365 days ago and for that, I am forever grateful. I am so thankful for all the memories that were jam-packed into these last 11 months. I am thankful for a family that never leaves my side, no matter how dysfunctional we can be at times. I am thankful for my roommates, who are not only my best-friends but my sisters. Natalie and April, your friendship is everything to me. I am thankful for my amazing boyfriend Dominic, who has showed me the way love is supposed to be.
I am especially thankful to you, for taking the time to read what’s on my mind and finding value in the words I share. No matter what you’re doing or how you’re spending Thanksgiving, I hope your day is full of love. I’m sending some your way.
